Big Boy Fleury/Singler Only Take Two Points Against DeMarse Insurance:

Big Boy/Fleury Singler came into Week 30 with a 48 – 43 record. BB/FS knew they would need to take all 7 points from here on out and need a miracle that the top teams lose most if not all of the points in their matches to have a chance at another title. But knowing that all they control is how they bowl, they focused on this week’s opponent- DeMarse Insurance.

For the first week in about a month, Big Boy/Fleury Singler had their 2009 – 2010 roster together. Things did not start how BB/FS hoped they would. Keith Dickson (199) was the only bowler on BB/FS that bowled above his average. DeMarse Insurance took advantage led by Denis Johnson (212) and Vic Mahaffey (187) as BB/FS lost Game One- 1070 – 1106. Dave Stevenson (231) finished with 6 strikes in a row and Mark Picucci added a 184 to take Game Two- 1144 – 1109. Dave Stevenson (214), Keith Dickson (212), and Steve Whelan (143) all bowled above their averages in Game Three, but Vic Mahaffey (192), Denis Johnson (191, and Chrissy Janssen (175) had the answer as BB/FS lost Game Three- 1132 – 1186. Big Boy/Fleury Singler also lost the overall match- 3346 – 3401.

With the two points, Big Boy/Fleury Singler improved their record to 50 – 48 with 1 weeks left to go before the positional round. Next week, BB/FS will take on Willey’s Tires.
