Pistons Add Another Athletic 7-Footer Via Free Agency:

The Detroit Pistons have added even more size to their frontcourt by agreeing to a multi-year deal with Ukrainian center Vyacheslav Kravtsov. Kravtsov (7’0”, 260-pounds) is another athletic big man with good leaping ability and is an excellent defender, rebounder, and shot blocker just like the Pistons new rookie C Andre Drummond. Also like Drummond, Kravtsov is raw offensively and still trying to develop his skills on that side of the court. After going undrafted in 2009, Kravtsov played for the Boston Celtics summer-league team in 2010. Last season for BC Donetsk of the Ukrainian league, Kravtsov averaged 10.6 points and 5.5 rebounds in 22 minutes per game. The Pistons will finalize the deal on July 11, the first day NBA players can sign new contracts. The addition of Kravtsov gives the Pistons yet another athletic big man with great abilities in the defensive side to play opposite PF/C Greg Monroe. (Picture from Google Images)
